Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani condemned the position of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. He said that Blinken's statements aim to fuel the conflict, by following a policy of intimidation of Iran and stirring up strife among the countries of the region.
He added that the Iranian military program is a defensive program for deterrence only, and is not directed at any country that does not intend to target Iran. The United States last week imposed new sanctions on a procurement network it accused of supporting Iran's military and drone programs.
