More and more of them are leaving Sudan or considering doing so. Evacuations of foreign nationals began on Saturday, April 22, as fighting continues.

A total of 91 Saudi citizens as well as 66 nationals of "brotherly countries" were evacuated. The evacuees were transported in a convoy of vehicles to Port Sudan, then crossed the Red Sea aboard Saudi ships. The still very provisional toll, established by the WHO, is 413 dead and more than 3,500 injured. The Sudanese army says four countries are also preparing to evacuate their diplomats and nationals with their own military planes.
