Clashes between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have escalated across the capital Khartoum, amid diplomatic moves in Riyadh and Cairo to de-escalate and reach a new truce. Washington confirmed working with Saudi Arabia to end the conflict, including negotiating a declaration of commitment to protect civilians.
