A US court has convicted four members of the far-right group "Proud Boys" of conspiring to stir up sedition. Enrique Tarrio, who previously served as chairman of the organization's board of directors, was convicted along with three members.

Tarrio and four of his top aides (Joseph Biggs, Ethan Nordian, Zachary Reel and Dominic Pezzola) were previously charged with trying to stop congressional certification of Democrat Joe Biden's victory over Donald Trump. The success of federal prosecutors in obtaining convictions for sedition against perpetrators of the Jan. 6 riot would add to the judicial trouble of Trump and his advisers.
