South Korean President Yoon Sung-nyol addressed the U.S. Congress on May 10.

He emphasized the importance of trilateral security cooperation in response to North Korea's nuclear and missile development. He said it is "necessary to accelerate" security cooperation among Japan, the United States and the Republic of Korea. He also called for support for the reconstruction of Ukraine, which was attacked by North Korea in April. He was the first South Korean president to address the Congress in 27 years, and the first to do so since Ronald Reagan.
