On 1 July, all municipalities in Sweden must by law carry out crime prevention work. Sweden's municipalities and the region are critical and believe that the money will not be enough.
"You have to keep in mind that the law is there for the municipality to become better at preventing crime. The very purpose is to get better," says Greta Berg, investigator and crime prevention expert at SKR.
