First it started to burn in the Uppsala area of Hågadalen-Nåsten, then in Fageruddsåsen in Enköping. "Luckily, it's not windy today," says Marie Nordahl at the Central Rescue Centre.
The emergency services have previously warned that the hot weather and dry ground could lead to grass fires – which is why a fire ban has been introduced in the county. "There is a gunpowder in the ground. I don't think it's been set on fire by anyone," says Nordahl.
