A fire in Folkets Hus in Mörsil in August left several people homeless. A man in his 30s was arrested and charged with aggravated arson.

The trial began but had to be suspended in October after a witness failed to appear. Last week, the trial was redone and on Tuesday the verdict was handed down. The man was sentenced to seven years in prison. He was also ordered to pay several million in damages. The fire was started in a densely populated community where it could easily have spread.
