A security guard punched a female patient in the face so that she fainted inside the psychiatric emergency room at Uppsala University Hospital last autumn. The 35-year-old man is being sentenced for assault.
He is sentenced to 75 hours of community service. He must also pay close to SEK 7,700 to the man he beat with a baton in Enköping municipality in February last year. The man's defense has stated that he will not be able to continue working as a security guard if he is convicted.
