Five million households will have to wait for additional electricity support. The government's plan for payment this spring has been delayed.

The support is financed by congestion fees that have mainly been paid to Svenska kraftnät by electricity customers in southern Sweden. The current support is estimated to amount to approximately SEK ten billion, the first is assumed to have comprised about SEK 17 billion. The second round of electricity support to households will be paid out by the Swedish Social Insurance Agency sometime in the spring.
