Sweden Democrats want to see three measures to "maximize Sweden's influence" in the EU. They include a law that stipulates that any significant transfer of power or new or major demands for payments must first be approved in a referendum.

They also want the Swedish parliament and government to be prepared to leave the EU – among other things by removing wordings in the constitution that state that Sweden is a member of the union. The party also want an inquiry to analyse whether previous governments have overimplemented EU directives.
