Saara Hermansson won the Sami Eurovision Song Contest, Sámi Grand Prix. But her yoik is questioned by other Sami people on social media.
She is one of many who have long actively worked to take back their Sami heritage – which has not been so strong in her family. She does not think you should see the different yoik variants as competitors. She says: "Sápmi is so big and we have room for all kinds of yoiks and yoik traditions"
