The Russian newspaper Izvestia questioned who benefits from the leak of US documents. The publication is just an attempt to limit America's involvement in the Ukrainian conflict, in light of the political chaos in which Washington is floundering today.
A senior fellow at the U.S.-Canada Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences said that the leaks reflected the efforts of anti-war parties within the Pentagon and the intelligence community. The report says the alleged "secret plans" are merely reports by Ukrainian writers and information similar to reports from the Institute for the Study of War.
