Hundreds of Russian bikers from the "Night Wolves" club, loyal to the Kremlin, gathered on Saturday in Moscow for the start of their "patriotic" rally. The latter will pass through eastern Ukraine and end in Germany on May 9.

"Despite all the difficulties facing Russia, our aspiration to victory is eternal," said club leader and founder Alexander Zaldastanov. The 60-year-old, nicknamed "The Surgeon", added that everything must be done to "bring closer victory" for the Russian army in Ukraine.
