Foreigners living in Latvia who do not have citizenship of this country or a passport of the EU state, now until September 1, 2023, will be required to confirm not only knowledge of the Latvian language, but also a level of income not lower than € 620. This was reported to RT on condition of anonymity by the ex-deputy of the Riga City Council.
The relevant amendments were made to the draft law "On Emigration", the final parliamentary readings of which should be held on May 4.
