Romina Celeste Núñez, 29, disappeared on New Year's Eve in Lanzarote. Husband Raúl Díaz Chacón was arrested by the Civil Guard.
He has pleaded guilty to homicide, ill-treatment and the rest of the charges made against him. The defendant has accepted the sentence proposed by the Prosecutor's Office and the victim's family: 15 years and nine months in prison, five years less than they had been demanding. The case had been awaiting trial for more than four and a half years.
