The right-wing extremist NPD has changed its name and is now called »Die Heimat« This was decided at a party congress on Saturday in the Saxon town of Riesa with a majority of 77 percent, the party announced. The name refers to a concept of homeland that excludes non-ethnic Germans and immigrants or foreigners living in Germany.
The Federal Constitutional Court announced that it wanted to negotiate on July 4 and 5 on the exclusion of the NPD from state party funding.
