[HIGHLIGHTS] Reuters: NATO increased the readiness of the air force over the Black Sea last week

NATO air forces were put on high alert due to the alleged approach of a Russian fighter jet over the Black Sea to a Polish border plane. On May 7, the Polish border guard announced that a Russian Su-35 fighter had intercepted a Polish Turbolet L-410 aircraft.

According to Warsaw, the incident occurred on May 5 during Operation Frontex. The Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly stressed that flights of Russian military aircraft are carried out in accordance with international rules for the use of airspace.
