Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov said that Russia is negotiating the introduction of a visa-free regime with the countries of the Persian Gulf. Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Ivanov reported that Moscow is preparing agreements on visa facilitation with six countries, including India, Syria, and Indonesia.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in February that Russia plans to introduce a visa free regime with 11 countries. The countries are Russia's main partners in the field of tourism at the moment.
