The Group of Seven countries and the EU intend to ban the import of Russian pipeline gas through pipelines where Moscow had previously reduced supplies, Western media reported. There was also information about the desire of Brussels to impose a ban on oil supplies through the Druzhba pipeline.

As experts noted, the West is unsuccessfully trying to put pressure on Russia in one way or another so as not to harm itself. At the same time, information leaks are used to track market reactions, analysts emphasized. The U.S., Canada, Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy and Japan will make a decision at the G7 summit in Hiroshima from May 19 to 21.
