The small Ucklum school F-3 outside Stenungsund is threatened with closure. On Monday, a protest list with about 3,000 signatures was handed to the politicians.

"We live in the countryside and need a school," says Elias Karlsson, whose son is a student. The school's fate will be decided at the municipal council meeting on June 7, says Olof Lundberg, chairman of the municipal executive board. The reason stated by the politicians is that there are no financial conditions for running the school.
