Tens of thousands take to the streets in Poland to protest against ruling party PiS. Demonstration was called by former head of government and opposition leader Donald Tusk.

New law could exclude opposition politicians from the election in the fall. Tusk: "We are here today so that the whole of Europe, the whole world can see how strong we are" The first partially free elections in Poland took place on June 4, 1989, ushering in the end of communist rule in the country.
