John Esposito is a professor of Religion, International Affairs, and Islamic Studies at Georgetown University. He is founding director of the Prince Alwaleed Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at the Walsh School of Foreign Service.
He was interviewed by Al Jazeera English website director Secret Salam on a variety of topics ranging from the reasons behind his interest and passion for Islam. He discussed the impact of Islam on the United States, his role in advising US President Joe Biden when he was a senator, and the phenomenon of the "globalization of Islamophobia"
