The Sweden Democrats' proposal to evaluate EU membership has not been received positively by the Liberals. One area where the parties have different positions is law enforcement.

Both parties went to the election with promises of tougher measures against crime, but they have different views on how this should be done. This has led to the parties having different positions on several issues that have become topical with the Tidö Agreement. The parties have very different ideological views of society. Although in many cases they manage to negotiate common political measures, it is from very different starting points.
