Poland will close its border with Belarus on June 1 for trucks from its eastern neighbor as well as from Russia. The ban applies until further notice to trucks, tractors and trailers with trailers or semi-trailers registered in one of the two countries.

Poland had already put 365 other representatives of the government of Belarusian ruler Alexander Lukashenko on a sanctions list. The entry bans against them were a reaction to the upholding of the "draconian sentence" against the activist of the Polish minority, Andrzej Poczobut.
