Peter May was first a reporter, then a writer of series in Scotland. His first novel, "L'Ile des chasseurs d'oiseaux", first published in its French translation in 2010.

At 71, the prolific Peter May intends to no longer write one novel a year, but to devote himself to his passion of music with friends. During the writing season, Peter May locks himself in his office, where a vast library contains the many editions of his books. "I get up at 06:00 a.m. and write 3,000 words a day," he says.
