Social Democrats criticize the government for not having a "plan B" if Sweden does not join NATO in connection with the Vilnius meeting in July. The party calls for broader Nordic cooperation to ensure Swedish security if accession is delayed.

"If this is to be a joint project for Sweden, the government must sit down with us and talk clearly about what they are doing," says Peter Hultqvist, defense policy spokesperson for the Social Democrats. The government has not responded to a request for comment.
