Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Kremlin wall in Moscow. He congratulated the officers and soldiers of the guard of honor on the upcoming Victory Day.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the leaders of most of the CIS countries, as well as the peoples of Georgia and Moldova, on the 78th anniversary of the Victory. He urged not to allow distortion of the historical truth about the Great Patriotic War.
