The Orthodox world celebrates this Sunday, April 16, Easter. Despite the vagaries of the war and the curfew that prevented the holding of night processions, Ukrainians flocked to churches.

Ukrainian churches are open all night, in the hours leading up to Easter Sunday, to allow believers to partake in blessings. This year, however, the authorities imposed a curfew, asking parishioners to stay at home, sometimes even stay in the church overnight. In the village of Kushuhum, not far from the front, Russian forces struck on the village, where several S-300 missiles fell.
