Renewed violent clashes on Wednesday between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces in Khartoum. Talks between the two parties mediated by the United States and Saudi Arabia in the city of Jeddah.
A Qatari plane carrying 35 tons of medical aid arrived in Sudan on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the non-governmental Sudan Medical Syndicate announced that the death toll had risen to 822 civilians since the clashes began on April 15. The United Nations announced it needs two billion dollars as part of its humanitarian response plan in Sudan.
