The World Health Organization predicted more deaths due to the lack of health services in Sudan. The Sudanese Medical Syndicate said it was unable to reach the wounded due to lack of access to health services.

The UN estimates that a quarter of the deaths could have been prevented if the situation was better handled by the health service providers in the Sudanese capital Khartoum. The health service provider said that only 16% of the country's health facilities were available to treat patients. The WHO said that the situation in Sudan was critical and that it was working on a plan to improve the situation.
