Initiatives to regulate gender reassignment in Russia will be presented to the State Duma Council on May 15. Deputy Speaker of the House of Parliament Vladislav Davankov said that he plans to talk about legislative initiatives.

In December, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law banning LGBT propaganda, gender reassignments and pedophilia in the country. The head of the Ministry of Justice, Konstantin Chuichenko, previously announced the preparation of a ban on gender reassigned in the passport.
