The United States and its two Asian allies, Japan and South Korea, will share information about North Korean missile launches. The announcement came after a meeting of their defence ministers in Singapore where the Shangri-La Security Summit is taking place.

U.S. Defense Secretary Llyod Austin said the three countries face common challenges "related to China's coercive behavior, North Korea's dangerous provocations and Russia's cruel war in Ukraine" Japan decided to acquire a counterattack capability. The United States will encourage the countries to make their military forces "more versatile, resilient and mobile"
