Brazil's justice minister announced Wednesday that Telegram messaging would be suspended nationwide. The platform is accused of not having communicated data on neo-Nazi groups.

A 16-year-old boy who in November 2022 shot dead four people at a school in Aracruz, Espirito Santo, was connected to anti-Semitic groups on Telegram. A fine of one million reais (180,000 euros) per day will remain in force until the requested data is provided to the police.
