[HIGHLIGHTS] Negotiations are tough – the reduction obligation is decided at party leader level

SD leader Jimmie Åkesson says the issue will be moved up to party leader level. The Tidö parties are currently negotiating on what level the reduction obligation should be.

The reduction obligation is the level of blending of biofuels into fossil fuels to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Today, the Reduction obligation is 7.8 percent for gasoline and 30.5 percent for diesel. Climate and Environment Minister Romina Pourmokhtari said that the Liberals want to see a blend of biofuel of between 12-16 percent.
