Ukraine is preparing to launch a major counter-offensive, expected especially in the south of the country. In the Zaporizhzhia region, the Russian authorities announced the evacuation of some 70,000 people from 18 localities they occupy.
On the other side of the front line, these evacuations raise hope, as in the village of Orikhiv, close to the frontline. "It means that something is going to happen, we hope, anyway," says one resident.
