[HIGHLIGHTS] Municipal commissioner in Jokkmokk: "We already have a massive environmental impact in the river"

Vattenfall is planning three major investments to expand hydropower in the Lule River. Jokkmokk municipality has three of the four projects where Vattenfall wants to expandHydropower.

Porjus, Harsprånget and Messaure power stations are now being initiated. Operations in the new plants can start as early as 2026. In Messaures 2031. The municipality hopes for greater environmental investment in the expansion of Hydropower plants.
