The US pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly on Thursday published the results of a clinical trial confirming that its drug Mounjaro helps in weight loss. The study was conducted on nearly 900 people who were overweight, obese or had type II diabetes.

The people who received the highest dose of the drug lost an average of 15.6 kilograms over about a year and a half (72 weeks) The side effects reported are generally intestinal problems (nausea, diarrhoea...).Monjaro works on the intestinal hormone GLP-1 that activates receptors in the brain.
