Moldova is set to withdraw from the CIS. The decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Moldova.

The country has 32 agreements with the CIS, which are to be terminated. The agreements concern the work of border services and the settlement of emergency situations. The Moldovan parliament is expected to vote on the issue on May 15. The vote will be followed by a referendum on whether or not to withdraw the country from the Collective Security Agreement (CSA) with the European Union.
