"It is clear that there is no longer an ounce of compassion for [racialized] refugees," says policy director for the Migrant Welfare Council. The British government responded on Sunday, saying it should not "compare the suffering of different groups of migrants" and said it wanted to focus efforts on a diplomatic and humanitarian solution in Sudan.. Nearly 300,000 Ukrainians have been able to reach the United Kingdom in the last fifteen months.
