The Nord Stream 2 is a pipeline linking Russia to the rest of the world. It was built in the 1990s after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

The Nord Stream is designed to be a long-term project, not just a short-term one. It is expected to be completed by the end of next year. The first phase of the project will be completed in the spring of 2015. The second phase will be complete by the summer of 2016. The third phase is planned for the fall of 2016, when the project is completed.
