On Monday, May 1, the demonstrations, mainly directed against the pension reform, were the scene of clashes between radical elements and the police. A 28-year-old CRS was even seriously burned in the face and hands by a Molotov cocktail.
The issue of violence against the police was at the heart of the question session with the government on Tuesday afternoon in the Assembly. And notably opposed Antoine Léaument, deputy La France insoumise and the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin.
