Mauritania is interested in the field of green hydrogen and has the necessary capabilities to produce it, and seeks to have a promising future for this energy in terms of local manufacturing and export potential. The Mauritanian Ministry of Petroleum, Mines and Energy concluded on Friday an international conference in Nouakchott, organized in cooperation with the World Bank and the African Green Hydrogen Alliance.

The conference discussed the problems of financing green hydrogen projects in Africa and ways to accelerate them. It also highlighted the appropriate legal and tax framework regulating this sector.
