Six municipalities in Kronoberg and Kalmar counties are offering their schoolchildren free travel by public transport this summer. Oskarshamn took up the offer from Länstrafiken last year – but this year they believe it will be too expensive.
Växjö municipality has set aside SEK 1.4 million to be able to offer high school students bus cards, but what the actual final bill will end up on for the municipality remains to be seen, depending on how many young people are interested.
