Malmö has hosted on two previous occasions – in 1992 and 2013. The fact that Avicii Arena will be closed all next year for renovation increases Malmö's chances.
The last time Sweden arranged Eurovision in 2016, it cost SVT SEK 125 million. The city and arena have not been decided for next year's final. The Globe is being renovated and is out of the game..
