Since February, the inflation rate according to the consumer price index, CPI, has slowed down after being around 9-10 percent during the winter. The main reason is that energy prices have been declining for some time, and now the rise in food prices has also slowed down and the prices of some goods have fallen.

The Riksbank has said that we will be down to that level by the end of the year, but other economic analysts believe we will then have inflation of 3-4 per cent.
