Communication between the UAE's lunar mission "Rashid" and the ground base was cut off on Tuesday. The attempts of specialized engineers to reconnect with the vehicle did not succeed, which means its loss, and the company is likely that the vehicle has crashed during its attempt to land on the moon.

The mission was launched on December 11, 2022 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, from Cape Canaveral in Florida, USA. It was one of the finalists of the Google Lunar XPRIZE competition, but the competition did not announce a final winner.
