Slovenian Tadej Pogacar has to abandon Liège-Bastogne-Liège after falling. The 24-year-old suffered a fractured scaphoid in his left wrist.
The duration of his convalescence is not specified. The injury comes just over two months before the start of the Tour de France. The Slovenian won the Amstel Gold Race and the Flèche Wallonne in recent weeks. He was aiming for a hat-trick in the Ardennes, a record achieved by only two riders in history.
