Lebanese Ambassador to Paris Rami Adwan is under investigation for rape and wilful violence. Two women, former embassy employees, filed a complaint, according to documents.
The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs requested "that the Lebanese authorities lift the diplomatic immunity" of the ambassador in office since 2017 "in order to facilitate the work of justice" The diplomat, through his lawyer, disputes these serious accusations. "My client denies any accusation of aggression in any form whatsoever: verbal, moral, sexual," says Karim Beylouni.
