Nine days after the massacre in Karma, northern Burkina Faso, the survivors held a press conference. According to survivors, 147 people were killed, including 28 women and 45 children, aged between 9 days and 14 years.

The representative of the survivors, Daouda Belem, expresses his indignation vis-à-vis the authorities of the country. "The government's statement borders on indifference and contempt for the people of Karma and the surrounding area," says Belem. "We have no doubt that they were the perpetrators of this carnage," he adds.
